На время проведения внеочередных выборов президента Украины охрану избирательных участков необходимо существенно усилить. Такое мнение в ходе пресс-конференции в "Обозревателе" высказал председатель правления Комитета избирателей Украины Александр Черненко.

По его словам, для обеспечения избирательного процесса, прежде всего, необходимо разблокировать здания на юго-востоке страны, отведенные под избирательные комиссии. "Необходимо разблокировать эти помещения. И тут необходимо применять как политический диалог, так и, если нужно, определенные силовые действия", - сказал он.

Черненко также подчеркнул: "Нужно позаботиться о том, чтобы в день выборов провокаций не было". "Мы видим, как настроены люди, гуляет куча оружия, огромные средства привлечены для этого, поэтому многие избиратели, даже если захотят прийти на выборы, могут просто побояться. Этого нельзя допустить – надо усилить охрану участков, в том числе силами Национальной гвардии", - заявил он.

В этом контексте глава КИУ рассказал о том, что на 6 мая назначено специальное заседание Совета национальной безопасности и обороны Украины, в повестке дня которого – безопасность выборов. "Я думаю, там будут приняты решения, которые снизят эти угрозы", - сказал Черненко.
