У карт Google было мало недостатков: с их помощью можно получить важную информацию практически о любом месте на карте мира. Самое главное — всё это бесплатно. А какие приложения для мобильных устройств! С приятным чистым дизайном, без назойливой рекламы… Впрочем, стоп. Теперь реклама будет — ведь это основной источник дохода Google, и основной целью всех сервисов компании, помимо помощи пользователям, является именно демонстрация рекламных баннеров, - сообщает computerra.ru

Как пишут в блоге Google Inside Words, более миллиарда людей используют Google Maps каждый месяц. На них можно найти всё — от ресторанов до автосалонов, от клиник до торговых центров. Теперь, когда пользователь будет искать в приложении на мобильном устройстве какое-то конкретное заведение (например, закусочную), ему будут не только показывать на карте возможные варианты, но и выводить внизу экрана баннер с демонстрацией рекламы какой-нибудь местной закусочной, которая за это заплатила.

Рекламодатели смогут получить доступ к этой функции, добавив локационные расширения к своей рекламной кампании AdWords Express и прописав нужную локационную информацию для Google Maps. Баннеры будут показываться в приложениях как для Android, так и для iOS.
