В Македонии сегодня в 07:00 по местному времени начались президентские выборы, свои двери распахнули 3480 участков по всей стране, сообщает 13 апреля ИТАР-ТАСС. Процесс волеизъявления завершится в 19:00 по местному времени.

В течение дня 1,78 млн граждан балканского государства, обладающих правом голоса, предстоит разобраться в своих политических предпочтениях и выбрать одного из четырех кандидатов на пост главы государства. В их число входят действующий президент страны, кандидат от правящей Внутренней македонской революционной организации — Демократической партии за македонское национальное единство Гёрге Иванов, Стево Пендаровский от оппозиционного Социал-демократического союза Македонии, кандидат от Демократической партии албанцев Ильяз Халими и Зоран Поповский от гражданского движения «ГРОМ».

По оценкам местных экспертов, наибольшие шансы на победу имеет господин Иванов, за которого готовы проголосовать свыше 40% избирателей. При этом для того, чтобы одержать верх в первом туре, ему потребуется набрать более 50% голосов, что, как отмечают аналитики, маловероятно. В таком случае на 27 апреля будет назначен второй тур. Ожидается, что предварительные результаты выборов станут известны к полуночи, а официальные итоги будут объявлены на следующий день.
