На территории КНР заблокирован доступ к сайту британской газеты The Guardian. Об этом газета сообщила 8 января со ссылкой на сервисы мониторинга китайского сегмента интернета, пишет Lenta.ru

Впервые с проблемами при заходе на сайт theguardian.com китайские пользователи столкнулись во вторник, 7 января. При этом по состоянию на среду доступ к мобильной версии сайта и приложению The Guardian для iPad осуществляется свободно.

В то же время, некоторые пользователи сообщают, что с проблемами при попытке зайти на сайт не сталкивались. Другие отмечали, что доступ к theguardian.com то появляется, то исчезает.

Власти Китая, где интернет подвержен государственной цензуре, часто блокируют на территории страны доступ к тем или иным сайтам. В случае со СМИ, как правило, это делается после публикации заметок о коррупции среди высокопоставленных чиновников КНР и других критических заметок.

Редакция The Guardian отмечает, что в последнее время подобных материалов на сайте не публиковалось. В китайском МИД Reuters сказали, что ничего не знают о блокировке сайта газеты.
