В частности, отмечается, что Джеймся заработала за последний год 95 миллионов долларов, чем отодвинула на второе место американца Джеймса Паттерсона, который благодаря своим детективам о психологе Алексе Кроссе несколько лет подряд никому не уступал верхнюю строчку рейтинга.

"Изначально фанфик на основе Сумерек под названием Хозяин Вселенной, роман Пятьдесят оттенков серого провел своего автора с сайтов фан-прозы прямо на вершину всех списков бестселлеров. Формат электронной книги стал ключевым фактором, предоставившим читателям легкую возможность покупать наполненные эротическими сценами сиквелы и скрытно читать их в общественных местах", - говорится на сайте Forbes.

В десятку самых высокооплачиваемых авторов по версии журнала вошли также популярные американские писатели Дэн Браун и Стивен Кинг.

Как отмечалось в апреле, роман Пятьдесят оттенков серого Эрики Леонард Джеймс попал в список самых оскорбительных книг на полках американских библиотек по версии ежегодного исследования Американской библиотечной ассоциации.
