Незважаючи на війну в Україні, у 2024 році до Німеччини було імпортовано щонайменше 68,6 тонни урану з росії — майже на 70% більше, ніж минулого року. 

Матеріал було поставлено на завод з виробництва ядерного палива компанії Advanced Nuclear Fuels (ANF) у Лінгені.

На даний момент уран з росії не входить до списку санкцій ЄС. 

ANF ​​є дочірньою компанією французької фірми Framatome. Зростання імпорту урану з росії викликає особливий інтерес, оскільки компанія зараз планує створити спільне підприємство з російським атомним концерном Росатом.
