Команда композитора Ендрю Ллойда Уеббера — автора мюзиклів "Коти" і "Ісус Христос — суперзірка" — розіслала лист про заборону використання пісні Memory в кампанії Дональда Трампа 2020 року.

Таке рішення команда Уеббера прийняла після того, як актриса мюзиклу “Коти” Бетті Баклі закликала композитора перешкодити Трампу використовувати на мітингах пісню Memory.

Веббер і Баклі вже виступали проти використання своїх мелодій на мітингах Трампа.

Також сім’я Тома Петті заборонила Дональду Трампу використовувати його пісні. Пізніше з такою заявою виступив Брендон Урі, соліст групи Panic! At the Disco.

Учасник норвезької поп-групи А-Ha Магне Фурухольмен заявив, що президент сплагіатив кліп на пісню Take on Me. Також претензії Трампу пред’являли Ріанна, соліст Guns n’roses Екслі Роуз, група Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones і співак Оззі Осборн.
