Глава Белого дома Дональд Трамп опять допустил ошибку, заявив, что его отец Фред Трамп родился на территории Германии, а не в США. Как передает PRпортал, об этом американский президент сказал, отвечая на вопросы журналистов на встрече с генеральным секретарем НАТО Йенсом Столтенбергом в Белом доме. «Откровенно говоря, Германия не выплачивает свою справедливую долю (имеется в виду выделение денег на оборону 2% ВВП в рамках обязательств по НАТО)», - заявил Трамп. Также он подчеркнул, что «очень уважает канцлера Ангелу Меркель и саму Германию.

«Мой отец немец. Он был немцем и родился в прекрасном месте в Германии, поэтому я чувствую прекрасные чувства к Германии», - не замолкал Трамп.

Согласно информации издания The Washington Post, уже по крайней мере в третий раз президент допускает подобную ошибку в отношении своего отца, который на самом деле родился в Нью-Йорке в 1905 году. А вот дед американского главы Фридрих, продолжило издание, родился в германском Кальштадте и эмигрировал в США в 1885 году.
