Президент Фінляндії Саулі Нііністьо заявив, що ніколи не говорив президенту США Дональду Трампу, що в скандинавській країні граблями розчищають ліс від листя і бур'янів, щоб не допустити пожеж, пише УНІАН

Про це повідомляє Європейська правда з посиланням на Politico. Трамп в суботу відвідав штат Каліфорнія, де борються з найбільшими в історії лісовими пожежами. Він заявив, що основною причиною пожеж є погане управління лісовими територіями.

"Подивіться на інші країни, вони це роблять інакше. Я був з президентом Фінляндії, і він мені сказав: "У нас все по-іншому... ми лісова країна".

І вони проводять багато часу з граблями, розчищаючи все і роблячи інші справи, і у них немає проблем", - сказав Трамп. Але президент Фінляндії сказав у неділю, що не обговорював розчищення лісів під час короткої зустрічі з Трампом в Парижі в минулі вихідні. 

"Я згадав, що Фінляндія - це земля, покрита лісами, і у нас також є хороша система моніторингу лісів", - сказав Нііністьо, додавши, що він нагадав Трампу: "Ми дбаємо про наші ліси".

Після заяви Трампа жителі Фінляндії стали розміщувати в Twitter фотографії того, як вони нібито розчищають місцевий ліс.
