Настоящий резонанс вызвало заявление премьер-министра Венгрии Виктора Орбана о том, что Будапешт ведет переговоры с потенциальными кандидатами на пост президента, один из которых после 31 марта может стать главой украинского государства. По его мнению, настоящее вмешательство России, Венгрии в выборы в Украине еще впереди. В первую очередь, свое вмешательство Москва и Будапешт будут осуществлять через тех украинцев, которые имеют двойное украино-российское или украино-венгерское гражданство.
Относительно заявления Владимира Путина о том, что он надеется, что власть в Украине поменяется и он будет вести переговоры уже с новой властью в Украине – это четкий сигнал своим сторонникам в Украине о том, что совсем скором они узнают, кого нужно поддерживать на выборах. Также Путин намекает на то, что Россия никуда не делась, она помнит об Украине и готова предоставить всяческую законную и незаконную помощь украинским друзьям.
