У компанії Google пояснили, що не будуть змінювати алгоритм ранжування сайтів, аби знизити RT і Sputnik в результатах видачі Google News, пише Media Sapiens.
 

Російський регулятор Роскомнагляд надіслав  запит компанії щодо слів виконавчого директора холдингу Alphabet Еріка Шмідта про «деранжування» RT і Sputnik.

Віце-президент Google Ніклас Лундблад (Nicklas Lundblad) у відповідь на запит пояснив, що Google не змінить порядок ранжування сайтів. «Пан Шмідт мав на увазі постійні зусилля компанії Google щодо поліпшення якості пошуку. Ми не змінюємо наш алгоритм пошуку для переобліку окремих сайтів», – заявив він.

Заступник керівника «Роскомнагляду» Вадим Субботін прокоментував, що відомство «позитивно відреагувало на відповідь Google».

Нагадаємо, Ерік Шмідт повідомив, що Google News знизить рівень видачі сайтів з «російською пропагандою» під час Міжнародного форуму безпеки в Галіфаксі. «Це в основному RT і Sputnik», - сказав він, додавши, що Alphabet не буде блокувати сайти, оскільки холдинг «працює не таким чином».
