Компания Conde Nast Entertainment (CNE), которая принадлежит издательству Conde Nast и производит и распространяет оригинальный цифровой видеоконтент, в настоящее время занимается производством 35 фильмов и сериалов. Об этом в интервью Hollywood Reporter рассказала президент CNE Дон Острофф.

Все эти проекты, основаны на статьях из журналов Vogue, New Yorker, Vanity Fair и др. Среди режиссеров, которые сотрудничают с CNE, – Александр Пэйн («Потомки», «Небраска») и Фрэнк Маршалл («Арахнофобия», «Конго»; продюсировал «Чудо на Гудзоне», «Эволюция Борна» и др.).

Самым первым фильмом, который выйдет на экраны, станет проект Джона МакАфии с Джонни Дэппом в главной роли, основанный на статье Wired. Его производство начинала еще кинокомпания Warner Bros. в 2013 году, однако предпродакшн стартует только сейчас.

Кроме того, одним из первых фильмов CNE станет экранизация статьи Дэвида Гранна, опубликованной в 2003 году в New Yorker и рассказывающей о грабителе банков. Режиссером ленты стал Дэвид Лоури («Пит и его дракон»). В кастинге актеров участвуют Кейси Аффлек, Роберт Редфорд и Том Уэйтс.

Напомним, Conde Nast – журнальное издательство, которое выпускает журналы Architectural Digest, Bon Appétit, GQ, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair и Vogue и др.
