Соціальна мережа Facebook почне тестувати нову функцію, що дозволяє повідомляти про фейкові новини і позначати їх спеціальними маркерами.

Якщо користувач визнає новину підозрілою, він може натиснути у правому верхньому кутку кожного поста відповідну кнопку. Такі новини можуть бути відправлені на перевірку спеціалізованим організаціям, які виконають перевірку фактів. Якщо експерти виявлять, що новина підроблена, то вона буде позначена маркером "спірна" з посиланням на обґрунтування організації, що здійснила перевірку. Необхідність створення такої функції у Facebook назріла після того як в Інтернеті в ході гонки за пост президента США загострилася війна компроматів, яка, як чимало хто вважає, могла вплинути на вибір громадян.

Нагадаємо, раніше Facebook повідомив про "смерть" свого творця Марка Цукерберга і разом з ним сотень інших користувачів. На облікових записах користувачів з'явилися відповідні банери.
