Міністру економіки Чилі Луїсу Феліпе Сеспедесу довелося виправдовуватися за надувну секс-ляльку, яку він отримав в подарунок від асоціації виробників та експортерів країни (Asexma)

Під час традиційної різдвяної вечері, організованої асоціацією у вівторок, її керівник Роберто Фантуччі презентував міністрові ляльку з написом: "Щоб стимулювати економіку".

На фотографіях міністр зображений з подарунком у руках і з широкою посмішкою на обличчі. Радість чиновника обурила президента країни Мішель Бачелет.

"До того, що сталося на вечері Asexma, не можна ставитися толерантно. Продягом двох термінів на своїй посаді я боролася передусім за повагу до жінок", - написала Бачелет у своєму Twitter.

Обурення пані Бачелет підтримали багато чилійців. Зокрема, представники Руху за сексуальні та репродуктивні права назвали подарунок бізнесменів міністру сексистським та шовіністським.

Врешті-решт у середу міністр публічно вибачився за реакцію на подарунок.

"Мене застали зненацька, і моя реакція була неприйнятною", - сказав він.
