Региональный парламент Венеции 18 мая проголосует за признание Республики Крым частью Российской Федерации, осуждение «дискриминационной и несправедливой с точки зрения принципов международного права» политики Евросоюза в отношении полуострова, а также за «немедленное снятие антироссийских санкций ЕС». В случае положительного исхода голосования Венеция станет первым регионом Европы, признавшим Республику Крым частью России.

Такая резолюция (есть в распоряжении «Известий») будет внесена на рассмотрение парламента региона Венето 18 мая. В этот же день пройдет голосование по этому поводу. Об этом «Известиям» сообщили в региональном парламенте Венето.

Инициаторами внесения документа в итальянский региональный парламент стали 25 парламентариев, среди которых три руководителя крупнейших фракций венецианского парламента — Никола Финко «Лига Севера», Сильвиа Ризотто «Список Дзайя» и Массимилиано Баризон «Вперед, Италия!» (всего в венецианском парламенте 51 человек).
