Президент Таджикистану Емомалі Рахмон отримав звання "лідера нації". Про це повідомляє прес-служба глави держави.

Сам президент підписав закон, що затверджує звання - "Про засновника миру і національної єдності - Лідера нації". Закон був затверджений таджицьким парламентом одноголосно.

Як йдеться у повідомленні, звання засноване "з метою зміцнення основ конституційного ладу Республіки Таджикистан, національної незалежності і територіальної цілісності батьківщини, стабільності і наступності держави, зміцнення демократії та захисту економічних і культурних цінностей".

Лідеру нації гарантований імунітет і особливий правовий статус, на його честь будуть створені музей, архіви та бібліотеки.

У коментарі прес-служби сказано, що в цьому рішенні таджицька влада використала досвід США, європейських країн і Казахстану.
