Служба охорони державного кордону відмовила у в’їзді до Литви громадянину Росії, на автомобілі якого була радянська символіка.

Як повідомили в литовській прикордонній службі, на автомобілі була наклейка з п’ятикутною червоною зіркою, серпом і молотом. Прикордонники запропонували росіянину зняти наклейку або продовжити шлях пішки, він відмовився і повернувся в Калінінградську область.

Демонстрація або поширення нацистської і комуністичної символіки в Литві заборонені законом і загрожує штрафом від 144 до 289 євро.

З травня 2015 року в Україні також офіційно заборонена радянська символіка. Заборона не поширюється на документи держорганів, які ухвалені або видані до 1991 року, і на нагороди часів СРСР, надгробні споруди, почесні поховання, експозиції музеїв, тематичні виставки, твори мистецтва.
