Українці, ветерани збройних сил США, взяли участь у військовому параді у Чикаго. Парад приурочений до американського Дня пам’яті, повідомляє VIDIA.

Українсько-Американські Ветерани (пост 32) пройшли однією з головних вулиць центру Чикаго, попереду несли український та американський прапори. Глядачі оплесками вітали колону та деякі вигукували “Ukraine!”, ветерани у відповідь скандували “Слава Україні!”.

Перед початком параду ветерани-українці відвідали цвинтар Св. Миколая, де замінили усі старі армійські прапори на могилах ветеранів.

Як відомо, щорічно у травні у США відзначають День пам’яті — національне свято, що присвячене пам’яті американських військовослужбовців, що загинули у всіх війнах і збройних конфліктах, в яких США брали участь.
