Соцсеть Facebook намерена разработать технологию, которая потенциально сможет предотвратить публикации компрометирующих фотографий пользователями, находящимися в нетрезвом состоянии. Об этом пишет издание Wired.

Технология пока находится в стадии исследовательской разработки. Внешнее проявление ее работы заключается в том, что пользователь будет получать предупреждение, что размещаемый им контент появится в публичном доступе. Однако в ее основу ляжет технология распознавания изображений — по замыслу Facebook, она сможет различать обычные фотографии пользователей и снимки, снятые в нетрезвом состоянии. Сейчас на Facebook уже работает технология распознавания лиц на фотографиях - она позволяет проще отмечать друзей на снимках.

«Представьте, что у вас есть умный электронный помощник, который станет посредником в вашем общении с друзьями и в процессе публикации контента на Facebook», — говорит Ян Лекан, руководитель лаборатории Facebook для исследований в сфере искусственного интеллекта.

Идея разработки не сводится только к предотвращению публикации компрометирующих фотографий. Исследуемая технология относится к разряду решений искусственного интеллекта - потенциально она также сможет анализировать содержание статусов и другого контента пользователей.

Однако идея онлайн-«цензора» может вызвать неоднозначную реакцию пользователей. Facebook неоднократно подвергалась критике за политику работы с личными данными пользователей, а в случае внедрения подобной технологии соцсеть вряд ли сможет избежать претензий о вмешательстве в личную жизнь и переписку. Однако, по словам Лекана, в итоге такая технология может обеспечивать пользователям больший контроль над своим онлайн-контентом.
