Відеоплатформа YouTube взяла для свого офіційного Twitter-акаунту відео Лілі Гевеш, але не вказала її авторство.

Як пише The Verge, Лілі Гевеш (Lily Hevesh) професійно займається створенням різних художніх об’єктів з доміно. 23 грудня вона опублікувала на своєму каналі у YouTube відео, де створила різдвяні композиції.

Утім вже 25 грудня сама відеоплатформа опублікувала в своєму офіційному Twitter-акаунті це відео, обрізавши початок і кінець з пані Гевеш. В описі до відео її авторство теж не було зазначене.

«Я дуже рада, що моє різдвяне відео взяли вподобали, але я трохи розчарована, що YouTubeперезалив його без жодної згадки про мене», — написала Лілі Гевеш у Twitter.

Проблемою може бути і те, що дохід творців контенту, таких як пані Гевеш, залежить від кількості переглядів і підписників. Це дає можливість знаходити спонсорів для своєї діяльності. Якщо YouTube не зазначає її авторство, то автоматично зменшує її можливий дохід.

Але це більше питання етичне, ніж юридичне. Згідно умов договорів між YouTube та авторами контенту, які завантажують на його відеоплатформу відео, компанія може використовувати їх у своїх цілях за обмеженою ліцензією.

Вже наступного дня YouTube назвала ситуацію своєю помилкою і зазначила автора у наступному дописі на Twitter.
