Видання Vox опублікувало карту світу, на якій Крим позначено «російським». На поширеній мапі та у відеороліку щодо поширення коронавірусу територію анексованого Криму позначено тим самим кольором, що й Росію.

Посольство України в США звернулося до видання із закликом виправити карту.

«Журналістика вимагає акуратності. Карта Vox потребує виправлення, тому що Крим - це Україна. Крим тимчасово під російською окупацією, але він завжди буде невід'ємною частиною України. Будь ласка, виправте карту!» - йдеться в заяві у Twitter.
