Верховну Раду пропонують перейменувати на Державну Українську Парламентську Асамблею (ДУПА). Таку пропозицію подали у електронній петиції до Президента України. У супровідному тексті вказана наступна мотивація такого вчинку:

«На виконання Закону України № 317-VIII, а також керуючись тим фактом, що назва «Верховна Рада» є ідентичним із назвою вищого органу державної влади часів СРСР, просимо Вас перейменувати Верховну Раду у Державну Українську Парламентську Асамблею. Така назва є загальноприйнятною у Європі, та має підкреслити європейську ідентичність сучасної України та вектор її цивілізаційного вибору.»
