Во время прямой трансляции финала песенного конкурса Евровидение, проходившего в Израиле, дважды был показан флаг Палестины.

Об этом сообщает The Jerusalem Post.

Первый раз это произошло во время песни Мадонны, которая выступала на конкурсе в качестве приглашенного гостя.

На спинах у двух танцоров из ее группы были нашиты флаги Израиля и Палестины. Растяжку с флагом Палестины также развернула группа Hatari из Исландии во время объявления баллов.

Появление палестинских флагов в зале вызвало возмущение многих израильских зрителей. Европейский вещательный союз после окончания конкурса осудил появление флагов и пообещал, что «последствия этих действий будут обсуждаться консультативной группой». По правилам Евровидения, на конкурсе не допускаются политические высказывания
