Компания Google сообщила о рассылке личных видео пользователей Google photo незнакомцам. По словам ее представителей, нарушение конфиденциальности коснулось небольшого количества пользователей, пишет The Verge.

Услуга Google Takeout позволяет загружать свои данные, но из-за технической неполадки между 21 и 25 февраля 2019 года некоторые пользователи получили видео чужих людей.

Компания разослала оповещения об утечке личной информации, не указав, какое количество людей она затронула. В 9to5Google сообщили, что пострадали менее 0,01 процента пользователей Google Фото, использовавших Takeout. 

В СМИ добавили, что у Google Фото более 1 миллиарда пользователей, поэтому даже небольшой процент повлиял на значительное количество людей.

"Эти пользователи могли получить либо неполный архив, либо видео, а не фотографии, которые не принадлежали им. Мы исправили основную проблему и провели углубленный анализ, чтобы предотвратить повторение этой проблемы. Нам очень жаль, что это произошло", – заявил представитель Google.
