В Финляндии правоохранители расследуют попытку кражи 400 тысяч евро в МИД страны, сообщает финское издание Yle.

Средства были предназначены для развития правовой системы Кыргызстана.

По информации полиции, злоумышленники отправляли в МИД электронные письма якобы от имени сотрудников программы развития ООН. На самом деле они взломали серверы программы за рубежом.

МИД имеет договоренность с проектом программы ООН и в прошлом уже перечислял средства для него, поэтому, не подозревая, что за действиями стоят мошенники, средства были перечислены. Лишь когда в проекте ООН поинтересовались, почему средства не поступают, в МИД заподозрили мошенничество.

Выяснилось, что деньги перечисляли на счет частного лица. Полиции удалось заморозить счета и вернуть более половины отправленной суммы. Преступники успели получить 170 тысяч евро.

По мнению полиции, за мошенничеством стоит преступная группировка. В этом деле по подозрению в отмывании денег проходят три человека.

Проект Министерства иностранных дел Финляндии в Кыргызстане начался в 2014 году и продлится до 2021 года с бюджетом 3,7 миллиона евро.
