Суддя і адвокати досить довго намагалися зберігати спокій і продовжувати засідання, але “жарти” тривали. У підсумку, суддя Крістофер Неш змушений був зупинити слухання, хоча і присудив Грему Кларку заставу в розмірі 725 000 доларів США.

Прокурори стверджують, що Кларк був ініціатором схеми злому акаунтів знаменитостей і політиків і розсилки твітів з їх акаунтів з проханням виплатити біткойни.

Адвокат Кларка Девід Вейсброк стверджував, що було нерозумно встановлювати заставу в шість разів перевищує суму, в крадіжці якої звинувачується його клієнт.
