Об этом свидетельствуют результаты его анализов, которые он сдал в понедельник после того, как у него появились симптомы болезни, сообщает британская телерадиокомпания ВВС News.

Жаир Болсонару всегда публично умалял риски от коронавируса, называя его “небольшим гриппом”, который не нанесет существенного вреда.

Он также оказывал давление на местные власти в Бразилии, чтобы они ослабляли карантин.

В то же время после новостей о его болезни, политик заявил, что чувствует себя хорошо, а симптомы у него проявились в мягкой форме.

“Тест вернули с положительным результатом. Нет причин для страха. Это жизнь. Жизнь продолжается”, – сказал Болсонару, сообщает The Guardian.

Теперь он второй член своей семьи, заразившихся коронавируса.

Издание отмечает, что 80-летняя бабушка первой леди Бразилии, Мишель Болсонаро, была интубирована 5 июля после того, как в минувшую среду она была госпитализирована с коронавирусом.
