У Лондоні відкриють музей вагін, повідомляє euronews.com. 

Перша виставка буде присвячена міфам, що стосуються жіночих статевих органів. Проєкт започатковано 2017 року, режисеркою Флоренс Шехтер. Спочатку вона організовувала тимчасові експозиції та виставки. За допомогою краудфандингу зібрала 50 000 фунтов стерлінгів (56 600 евро) і відкрила перший музей.

"Це частина тіла, про яку теж потрібно говорити. Там відбуваються неймовірні процеси, про які мільйони людей не здогадуються протягом життя. Через те, що просто бояться порушувати цю тему. Досить її стигматизувати", – заявила Шехтер. 

У музеї проводитимуть обговорення, лекції та семінари з експертами на теми контрацепції, психічного здоров’я та сексуальності. 

Крім того, у музеї підтримуватимуть проєкти інклюзивної та сексуальної освіти, будуть співпрацювати з медичними працівниками для надання кращих послуг для транс- та інтерсексуальних громад
