Мистер Биг, может быть, и ушел из «И просто так…», но он точно преследует Peloton. Сначала смерть героя ударила по акциям компании. Затем Peloton попытался быстро изменить ситуацию, выпустив рекламу с участием актера Криса Нота. Несколько дней спустя Peloton удалил рекламу после того, как две женщины обвинили Нота в сексуальном насилии. Теперь уже и у другого героя телешоу был сердечный приступ на тренажере Peloton.

В премьере шестого сезона сериала «Миллиарды» тренировка героя Майка Вагнера на Peloton прерывается из-за сердечного приступа. Когда он возвращается в офис, он даже ссылается на печально известную сцену и торжественно объявляет своим коллегам: «Я не уйду, как мистер Биг!».

Согласно The New York Times, «Миллиарды» использовали почти ту же сюжетную линию, что и «И точно так…», совершенно случайно. Сцена была написана и снята в апреле прошлого года, а фраза о Мистере Биге была озвучена постфактум.

Peloton опубликовал заявление с разъяснениями, что он не соглашался на использование бренда или интеллектуальной собственности в сериале. «Как показывает само шоу, сердечно-сосудистые упражнения помогают людям прожить долгую и счастливую жизнь», — написал бренд.
