У Білорусі підручник з математики - збірник задач для учасників Міжнародного математичного конкурсу "Кенгуру" - може навчити не тільки складання, віднімання, ділення і множення, а й багатьом іншим операціям

Наприклад, виготовлення нелегальної горілки або підрахунку голосів на виборах, пише видання "Салідарнасць"

Конкурс проводиться щорічно за підтримки Міністерства освіти Білорусі. Саму книгу видають за рахунок внесків учасників.

Автори задачника, напевно, керувалися специфічними білоруськими реаліями, придумуючи умови задачок. Наприклад, дітям пропонують підрахувати, скільки євро має Толя. У книжці взагалі чимало прикладів з валютними операціями, що дуже актуально в умовах нинішньої ситуації з курсом рубля.

Також є приклади з гральними картами і з підрахунком голосів на виборах в Квітковому місті, участь в яких бере якась Огіркова партія.

Але найбільш значуще практичне значення може мати завдання про стару Шапокляк, яка вирішила зробити нелегальну горілку: дітям дають майже що рецепт розведення спирту водою з зазначенням потрібних пропорцій.
