Президент США Дональд Трамп назвал бывшего госсекретаря Рекса Тиллерсона"тупым как пробка".

Американская газета Houston Chronicleсообщила, что Тиллерсон на одном из мероприятий в Техасе заявил, что Трамп часто выдвигал незаконные инициативы: "Президент часто говорил: вот, что я хочу сделать, и вот, как я хочу это сделать. И мне приходилось отвечать: господин Президент, я понимаю, что вы хотите, но так делать нельзя. Это противоречит закону".

"Что стало для меня настоящим испытанием, так это то, что придя из корпорации Exxon Mobil, где царил порядок, я оказался на работе у человека, который не любит читать в принципе, и доклады для брифингов тоже не любит читать, он не любит вникать в детали многих вопросов - вместо этого он просто говорит что-то вроде: "Это то, во что я верю", - так Тиллерсон описал работу в кабинете Трампа.

Это было первое за девять месяцев публичное выступление бывшего госсекретаря.

Трамп не остался в долгу и быстро написал твит, в котором Тиллерсон назван тупым как пробка и адски ленивым (dumb as a rock and lazy as hell).

Напомним, Рекс Тиллерсон был утвержден в должности Сенатом США в феврале 2017 года. Однако уже в июле того же года появились слухи о возможной отставке Тиллерсона. По данным телеканала CNN, у госсекретаря были разногласия с Трампом, в первую очередь - по урегулированию конфликта вокруг северокорейской ядерной программы.

В марте 2018 года Тиллерсон был уволен.
