5 січня в Чехії пройшов фінал молодіжного чемпіонату світу, в якому Канада перемогла Росію з рахунком 4: 3. При цьому на російському телеканалі "Матч ТВ" показали не пряму трансляцію, а запис фіналу 2011 року, в якому росіяни обіграли канадців з рахунком 5:3.

Повтор фіналу дев'ятирічної давності ввів в оману російських уболівальників, які взялися святкувати успіх.

Вболівальників не збентежив навіть той факт, що в 2011 році шайбами відзначалися вже досвідчені хокеїсти Панарін і Тарасенко, які зараз ніяк не могли грати в складі молодіжної збірної.

Пряма ж трансляція матчу йшла по іншому телеканалу, а "Матч ТВ" показав повтор, так як не мав прав на пряме включення.

У мережах почали активно вітати своїх хокеїстів з перемогою, хоча насправді вони поступилися.
