Низка російських ЗМІ, серед яких Lenta.ru, Russia Today та Российская газета опублікували фальшивий план українських військових про розстріли сепаратистів, який нібито був виготовлений американськими агенціями, пише Watcher.

5 липня на сайті Before It’s News з’явився матеріал про те, що в руки журналістів нібито потрапив документ, який був підготовлений американською агенцією RAND Corporation, і який включав у собі схему з розстрілу сепаратистів на сході України та всіх, хто їх підтримує. Новину розповсюдили Russia Today, Lenta.ru, Lifenews та багато інших російських медіа.

Before It’s News – це портал громадянської журналістики, де кожен охочий може опублікувати власну інформацію. Останнім часом на сайті часто публікували новини про “гуманоїдів на дні Байкалу”, “гей-фото Обами” та багато інших нісенітниць. Тим не менш, це не завадило російським журналістам використати портал як достовірне джерело новин. Ось кілька заголовків з Before It’s News:
