Швейцарська пілотажна команда виконала демонстраційний проліт не над тим містом, здивувавши людей на фестивалі співання йодлів, який проходив неподалік.

Аерогрупа Patrouille Suisse мала пролетіти над містом Лангебрук з нагоди столітнього ювілею швейцарського піонера авіації.

Але натомість команда пролетіла над сусіднім містом Мюмлісвіл, де якраз проходив 31-й північно-західний фестиваль співів йодлів.

Речник швейцарського міністерства оборони вибачився за цю помилку.

Аерогрупа — швейцарська версія британських "Червоних стріл" або ж "Українських соколів" — мала показати фігури вищого пілотажу до 100-річчя від смерті Оскара Бідера.

Бідер був першою людиною, яка пролетіла над Альпами в обох напрямках — подвиг, який він здійснив у 1913 році у віці 22 років.

Авіатор народився в Лангенбруці. Але лідер ескадри побачив намет, встановлений для фестивалю співів йодлем, приблизно у шести кілометрах на захід від міста Мюмлісвіл, та перенаправив реактивні літаки туди.

Представник швейцарських військових повідомив німецькомовній газеті Neue Zürcher Zeitung, що літаки F-5E Tiger II не оснащені технологією GPS.

Як повідомляється, учасникам фестивалю співів дуже сподобалося несподіване авіашоу.

Йодль — наспіви гірських жителів Альп в Австрії, Швейцарії та Баварії. Для такого типу співу характерні стрибки на широкі інтервали, переходи від грудного низького регістра голосу до високого фальцету. Визнаним майстром цього стилю був баварець Франц Ланг.
