Президент Бразилии Жаир Болсонару раскритиковал экоактивистку Грету Тунберг и отметил, что СМИ уделяют ей слишком много внимания.

Об этом сообщает The Guardian.

«Удивительно, сколько СМИ уделяют времени этому отродью (по-португальски pirralha)», — заявил Болсонару.

Критику президента вызвал пост Тунберг в социальных сетях, в котором она заявила, что коренных жителей Амазонии убивают за попытки защитить лес.

После заявления Болсонару Тунберг сменила свое описание в своем аккаунте в Twitter на Pirralha.

 

Тунберг стала известна после того, как 23 сентября шведская активистка и еще 15 подростков из нескольких стран подали жалобу на власти своих государств. По мнению ребят, эти страны не предпринимают достаточных усилий для борьбы с изменениями климата, а значит, нарушают принятую ООН Конвенцию о правах ребенка.

В тот же день девушка в ходе выступления на саммите ООН по климату в Нью-Йорке обвинила мировых лидеров в «пустой болтовне» и добавила, что те «украли ее мечты и детство».
