Ялинка не має на собі іграшок та прикрас. Лише самі вогники розвішані в хаотичному порядку, викликають неспокій за психологічне здоров’я "прикрашальника".

Роменчани у Фейсбуці задавали питанням хто саме так "оздобив" нещасне дерево, висловлюють сподівання, що ялинку вберуть ще раз,  але вже нормально, та дякують автору "потворної ялинки" за свій зіпсований настрій пише СпецКор.

Як з'ясувалося, левову частку "видатків" на ялинкове "опудало" склали "господарчі" витрати, іграшки та тент для сцени.

Власне, як стало відомо, сама ялинка з перевезенням та монтажем коштує лише вісім тисяч гривень.

Зазначимо, усю відповідальність за прикрашання ялинки міський голова Сергій Салатун узяв на себе, прокоментувавши ситуацію наступним чином: "Нам довелося прикрашати ялинку в авральному режимі, адже "вишка", яку пообіцяв нам РЕМ, була невідкладно відправлена на ліквідацію поривів на територію району, а інша вийшла із ладу. Ми не могли залишити дітлахів без урочистого відкриття головної новорічної красуні, тому довелося діяти вкрай швидко. ...До Нового року наша ялинка буде однією з кращих".
