У Росії читання Біблії в кафе прирівнюється до мітингу, захід має бути узгоджено з місцевою владою - для забезпечення безпеки як присутніх на зустрічі, так і інших відвідувачів.
 

Про це йдеться в офіційній відповіді на запит Європейського суду з прав людини (ЄСПЛ) за скаргою пастора євангельських християн Олексія Коляснікова, повідомляють "Ведомости".

Документ підписано уповноваженим при ЄСПЛ, заступником міністра юстиції Росії Михайлом Гальперіним. Він пише, що на читаннях використовували звукову апаратуру, тому захід можна вважати публічним. Водночас, як наголошують правозахисники, якщо критерієм публічного заходу є використання звукової апаратури, то під нього потрапляють і весілля, які проводяться в кафе.

Коляснікова в 2014 році оштрафували в Сочі за проведення "публічного заходу" без узгодження. Про проведення читання Біблії в кафе міська влада Сочі дізналася з регіонального управління ФСБ. За словами адвокатів, читання Біблії було погоджено з охороною кафе.
