Компания Nike выпустила серию футболок к лондонскому марафону с логотипом LDNR.

На сайте компании логотип сопровождается слоганом: «Get ready to show the world that Nothing Beats a Londoner» (Готовьтесь показать миру, что никто не сравнится с лондонцем). Вероятно, LDNR — это сокращение слова Londoner.

Однако, пользователи соцсетей и некоторые украинские СМИ увидели в нем связь с самопровозглашенными Луганской и Донецкой народными республиками (ЛНР и ДНР). Поэтому новое лого фирмы может восприниматься неоднозначно.

Лондонский марафон — одно из самых престижных легкоатлетических соревнований в мире. Забег в столице Британии входит в так называемый World Marathon Majors и проводится каждую весну, в конце апреля. Это серия из 5 крупнейших (мэйджоров) соревнований марафонцев, куда, помимо Лондона, входят также состязания в Берлине, Бостоне, Чикаго и Нью-Йорке.
