Президент Володимир Зеленський на своїй офіційній сторінці у соціальній мережі проілюстрував допис з нагоди дня народження Тараса Шевченка портретом невідомого.

Так, у дописі про 207-му річницю з дня народження Тараса Шевченка замість портрета українського поета і художника опублікували зображення іншої людини.

Портрет невідомого дещо схожий на молодого Тараса, та все ж це робота самого Шевченка.

“Портрет невідомого” Тарас Шевченко виконав аквареллю на бристольському картоні у Санкт-Петербурзі. На звороті внизу олівцем напис: Рисунокъ Т. Шевченко.

Датується робота на підставі порівняння з акварельними портретами Шевченка 1837—1838 роками.

Картина зберігається в Національному музеї Тараса Шевченка.
