Шведське місто Лунд розпорядилося розкидати гній у парках, щоб уникнути масових зібрань з нагоди весняного фестивалю і ризиків поширення коронавірусу.

Про це повідомляє "Європейська правда" з посиланням на BBC.

Муніципалітет, який також планує встановити бар'єри навколо головного парку міста, попросив жителів відмовитися від традиційної Вальпургієвої ночі, що відзначається 30 квітня, дуже популярного язичницького свята, що символізує кінець зими, під час якого шведи співають і влаштовують багаття в парках і садах.

"Лунд цілком може стати епіцентром поширення коронавірусу в останню ніч квітня", - заявив голова Комітету з навколишнього середовища місцевої ради Густав Лундблад.

Захищаючи рішення розкидати тонну курячого посліду в парку, він сказав: "Ми отримуємо можливість удобрювати газони, і в той же час це буде смердіти і тому може бути не так приємно сидіти і пити пиво".

"Гній з курячого посліду дуже смердючий", – додав Лундблад.

Святкування Вальпургієвої ночі, які можуть залучити до 30 000 відвідувачів, є "спонтанними", що унеможливлює їх заборону на практиці. Лунд – одне з найважливіших університетських міст Швеції, і більшість його 125 000 жителів – студенти.
