В выборах приняли участие 13 животных. Линкольн получил 53 голоса, обойдя 12 соперников, в том числе собаку по имени Сэмми и песчанку Кристэл, передает Аспекты.

«Выборы мэра-животного - это не просто развлечение. Это попытка привлечь внимание граждан к политике. Это способ привлечь к выборам детей в интересной для них форме», - рассказал чиновник из городской администрации Джо Гантер.

Весь год Линкольн будет посещать городские мероприятия. Все средства, которые поступят благодаря нему в бюджет, будут потрачены на постройку детских площадок.
