В місті Нашвілл у США у католицькій школі імені Святого Едварда вилучили з бібліотеки книжки про “Гаррі Поттера” через буцімто “реальні закляття” у творі

Про це повідомляє Tennessean.

Видання отримало доступ до електронного листа пастора школи Дена Ріхіла, в якому він зазначив, що проконсультувався з екзорцистами з США та Рима щодо заборони книг.

“Прокляття і заклинання, що використовуються в книжках - дійсні. Людина, яка їх читає, ризикує викликати злих духів”, - написав пастор.

Керівниця шкіл католицької єпархії в Нашвіллі Ребека Геммел підтвердила, що Ріхіл надіслав лист батькам, які цікавилися цими книжками. Вона зазначила, що романи про Гаррі Поттера залишилися в інших шкільних бібліотеках єпархії.

“У католицькій церкві немає офіційної позиції щодо книг про Гаррі Поттера. Кожен пастор може ухвалювати подібні рішення у своїй школі”, - зауважила Геммел.
