Путин не стал критиковать Нурмагомедова за необдуманный поступок и фактически похвалил его, добавив к своей фразе долю пропаганды – «Если на нас нападают извне, то не только ты, мы все можем так прыгнуть, что мало не покажется». «Но лучше до этого не доводить», — добавил он.

В соцсетях фразу российского президента также восприняли неоднозначно. Среди хвалебных комментариев оказалось немало критики. В частности комментаторы написали, что уже ожидают аналогичный спич президента Путина по поводу позорной выходки российских футболистов, избивавших людей и чиновника.
