Народный депутат Ольга Богомолец, которая является инициатором проекта закона «О противодействии сквернословию», известный как дематюкация языка, рассказала, почему хочет запретить мат в Украине, передает PRпортал со ссылкой на Украинскую правду. Так, по словам политика, должен дать определение явлению и предотвратить употребление ненормативной лексики в публичном пространстве.

«В этом законе предлагается дать формулировку сквернословию и определение алфавитного порядка слов, которые нельзя употреблять в публичном пространстве публичным лицам», — сообщила она, общаясь с журналистами в кулуарах Верховной Рады. Также Богомолец рассказала, что проект предусматривает введение административных штрафов для СМИ. «Это 10% от лицензионного сбора за выплаты по аудио трансляции. Что касается физических лиц, то это штрафы от 3 до 7 необлагаемых минимумов (54-99 грн) или исправительные работы с отчислением части заработка», — заявила она и добавила, что средства от штрафов должны идти в Украинский культурный фонд.

«Принимать закон об украинском языке и не вычищать его от совершенно не присущих украинской культуре... Это не наше, не украинское, это еще один аспект. Украинцы никогда не ругались и не употребляли брань ниже пояса... Хотите ругаться – ругайтесь на украинском», - добавила Богомолец. В то же время журналисты поинтересовались, как именно теперь нужно ругаться, на что политик ответила: «Бодай би тебе когут копнув».
