Британський телеканал "Channel 5" замість головного бою турніру "Bellator" між Гегардом Мусасі і Рорі Макдональдом включив мультфільм про свинку Пеппу.

Причиною скасування показу головної події вечора стало те, що згідно з британськими законами в вихідний день на телебаченні з 6 ранку не можна показувати контент з обмеженням "15+".

"Нам дуже незручно перед телеглядачами. Ми думали, що встигнемо показати всі головні бої за три години, але не вклалися в рамки. В результаті сталося те, що сталося: телеканалу довелося переключитися на дитячу програму. Спочатку ми подумали, що це технічний збій, але це всього лише питання до законодавства", - заявив президент "Bellator" Скотт Кокер.

"Я обіцяю всім уболівальникам, що ми будемо ретельніше підходити до таймінгу заходів. Зараз в головному карді було шість боїв - через це ми вилізли за рамки. У подальших турнірах в основному розкладі ми будемо залишати по п'ять боїв - і подібна ситуація більше не повториться", - додав Кокер.

У поєдинку за титул в середній вазі Мусасі відправив Макдональда в нокаут і захистив чемпіонський пояс.
