Возможный кандидат в президенты от Республиканской партии, экс-губернатор Флориды Джеб Буш случайно указал свою этническую принадлежность как латиноамериканскую в бланке голосования 2009 года, однако об этом стало известно лишь сейчас.

Об ошибке младшего брата экс-президента США Джорджа Буша-младшего сообщила газета New York Times. На своей странице в Twitter политик признал ошибку. «Не думаю, что я кого-то одурачил», — заключил бывший губернатор.

Джеб Буш тесно связан с Латинской Америкой: его жена — мексиканка, он свободно говорит по-испански и провел два года в Венесуэле, передает Росбалт  

Республиканцы надеются, что с помощью кандидатуры Буша им удастся привлечь голоса латиноамериканских избирателей, большинство которых традиционно поддерживают Демократическую партию.
