Гроб на постаменте, траурные венки, торжественные речи, духовой оркестр, священник произносит прощальную речь. Правда, оркестр играет джаз, а в пасторский костюм нарядился профессиональный комик. Так на прошлой неделе хоронили независимое креативное агентство Barton F. Graf 9000, которое объявило о своем закрытии в августе.

 

Barton F. Graf 9000 основано Джерри Графом в 2010 г., в его копилке — несколько каннских львов, за его плечами — скандал с забаненной на Super Bowl 2015 рекламой GoDaddy. Примечательно, что четыре года назад на Advertising Week Граф заявлял о кончине рекламной индустрии в целом.

На похоронах присутствовало около 200 человек — сотрудников агентства, бывших коллег и клиентов Графа. В своей надгробной речи «священник» прошелся по истории Barton F. Graf 9000, упомянул громкие кейсы вроде GoDaddy, при этом в гробу лежала мышь — отсылка к рекламе Tomcat под названием Dead Mouse Theater.

В «смерти» титулованного агентства рынок увидел плохой знак, пишет Ad Age. Независимым игрокам все сложнее держаться на плаву: рекламодатели сокращают расходы, переходят на проектную работу, часть задач поручают инхаус-командам. Статистика только подтверждает печальный тренд: по данным Forrester Research и SoDa, в 2017 году 61% рекламодателей сотрудничали с независимыми агентствами в сфере digital маркетинга, в 2018-м этот показатель упал до 39%.
