В ежегодный альбом выпускников средней школы в Питтсбурге включили цитаты советского лидера Иосифа Сталина, фюрера нацистской Германии Адольфа Гитлера и главаря террористической группировки «Исламское государство» (запрещена в России) Абу Бакра аль-Багдади, передает Fox News. Как сообщается, администрация и преподаватели учебного заведения при выборе изречений не проверили их авторство.

Дирекция школы извинилась за «оскорбительный смысл цитат». В заявлении педагогов говорится, что «это было достойной сожаления ошибкой», так как администрация и учителя никогда не оправдывали подобного рода цитаты в своих официальных публикациях.

В итоге школьникам предложили вернуть тираж обратно и компенсировать заплаченные за альбомы деньги. К ответственности за инцидент привлекли дирекцию и спонсора, которым является учитель английского языка.

Тираж альбома составил 360 экземпляров. Изречения отбирались из списка, предложенного учениками выпускных классов.
