На конкурсі Шаламе зробив кілька фото з двійниками, вбраними в костюми героїв, яких він грав. Найпопулярнішими були образи Віллі Вонки і Пола Атрейдеса з «Дюни». Причому інколи двійників плутали зі справжнім актором та фотографувалися з ними.
Конкурс двійників організував ютуб-блогер Ентоні По. Він анонсував його в соцмережах та зробив рекламні листівки, однак не погодив конкурс із владою. Тож згодом натовп розігнала поліція, а одного з «Шаламе» затримали. Сам блогер отримав штраф у $500.

Проте натовп продовжив розважатися — люди просто перемістилися з Вашингтон-Сквер в інший парк. Там вони обрали переможця конкурсу, мешканця Стейтен-Айленда Майлза Мітчелла — він прийшов у костюмі Віллі Вонки і отримав переможні $50.
