Президент Беларуси Александр Лукашенко стал лауреатом Шнобелевской премии мира 2013 года. На церемонию награждения глава государства не приехал.
 
Лукашенко разделили премию с белорусскими милиционерами за запрет публичных аплодисментов и арест человека с одной рукой за аплодисменты. Инвалида с одной рукой в белорусском городе Гродно признали виновным в том, что он аплодировал в публичном месте, и оштрафовали, пишет интернет издание "Публичные люди".
 
Публичные аплодисменты были запрещены в Беларуси в 2011 году, после того как акции протеста оппозиции стали проходить по-новому - участники не выкрикивали лозунги, а только аплодировали.
 
 
Премия Ig Nobel (в переводе с английского слово ignoble значит "постыдный") вручается за достижения, которые "сначала смешат людей, а затем заставляют их задуматься".
Ее традиционно вручают в Гарвардском университете в США. Лауреаты получают 20 долларов и пластмассовую статуэтку, правда, как правило, за наградами они не приходят.
